Programs
At P.S. 135 The Bellaire Magnet School, we are proud to offer a variety of afterschool clubs and programs designed to enrich our students’ educational experience and support their interests beyond the classroom.
These programs run at different points throughout the year and are led by our talented staff and community partners.
Programs include:
- Basketball – Students build skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship on the court.
- Soccer – A fun way to stay active while learning game strategies and collaboration.
- Art Club – Students explore different art forms and techniques, fostering creativity.
- Photography – Students learn to use cameras, explore visual storytelling, and develop their photography skills.
- Animation – An introduction to digital animation, character creation, and storyboarding.
- ORFF Music Ensemble – A hands-on musical experience focusing on rhythm, instruments, and performance.
- Student Government – Leadership opportunities for students to have a voice in their school community.
- Green Team – Promotes sustainability and environmental awareness through gardening and school-wide initiatives.
- Bellaire Buzz (Student News) – Students create and deliver news broadcasts to strengthen communication skills.
Additional clubs and special programs may be offered throughout the year based on student interest and availability.

Each program has limited capacity and specific grade-level eligibility. Registration details and schedules are shared with families via ClassDojo and school notices.
